Mike Rogers - Cam Failure #512

New 2/23/05

Larry,

My name is Mike Rogers.  I purchased a 1999 SHO in September of 2002.  I drove the car 272 miles and the rear exhaust cam sprocket spun.  You can guess what happened next.  I actually had the car towed to the Ford dealership here in Chattanooga, Tn. and the estimate from them was $5900.  Needless to say that is more than half of what I had payed for the car to begin with.  I did some research and decided to buy new cams and have them electro-statically drilled and pinned.  That was 16000 miles ago and the BULL is doing great now.  I have disposed of the factory airbox since then and added a cone filter assembly.  The roar is unbelievable at 3800 rpm.

I suppose you will need my owner information at this time so that you can add me to the class action suit, so here it is:         Name: Michael L. Rogers

(Edit))
