Hello. First...let me say that this car is NOT in running condition. Here's
the story: I bought it 4 months ago from a local private party.
The front two camshaft sprockets had
spun on the camshafts and damaged the front cylinder head (VERY
common). The fix is to weld the cam sprockets back on...it fixes the problem
permanently. Just after buying the car, I had it towed to a private mechanic's
home (in Hudson). He told me he would have the car done w/i a couple of weeks.
That was 4 months ago! At this point, the car's engine has been removed and
the front cylinder head has been removed. All that is left is to repair the
cams (would be a good idea to weld the rear ones as well), reinstall the front
cylinder head and engine (fluids/spark plugs/etc) and you'll have yourself a
sub-70K Taurus SHO in very good condition with a clean title. If you do the
work yourself, your total investment in the car (including the car itself)
should be less than $2K. You'll need to either make arrangements to get the
car from him (would require a flatbed trailer) OR allow him to finish the
work. The only reason I'm selling the car is because I'm sick of waiting for
him and I don't wish to do the work myself (too busy). The car is black w/
gray leather and it is loaded to the hilt. I don't have any photos as the car
is in Hudson. Let me assure you...it is in very good condition aside from the
remainder of the engine work. If interested, please email me. I will get back
to you w/i an hour or so. Thank you.
