Well folks, it's back! The previous generations of SHO's had a simple PCV hose with no valve. The V8's have the valve which is a normal maintenance piece. However, you won't find it in your local parts store; as of this writing, the replacment PCV valve is not yet available. Sound familiar? But that's what you get for buying a tough, durable car!
Removal and Installation
1. Disconnect crankcase vent connector and hoses from positive crankcase ventilation valve.
2. Loosen spring clamp and remove positive crankcase ventilation valve from the oil separator tube.
3. Inspect positive crankcase ventilation valve and oil separator tube for deterioration. Replace as necessary.
4. To install, reverse Removal procedure. Install spring clamp securely.
