2004 V8 Screen Saver

new 3/4/2004

Well, after a lot of work, here it is. Special thanks to Mike Gillespie for taking the many hours to assemble, edit, and upload the updated version. Also to Scott Krietemeyer, who allowed the use of his server as a test bed, and did the final file management for folks on dial up.

There is a lot of V8SHO History in this screensaver. The sheer size of it almost tripled from the last version and we have lots of great shots of people, not just cars. This is what we were after.

I hope everyone enjoys the efforts put forth by these guys, I sure have. It's been a lot of fun working with them and exchanging ideas to get the final product.

It's a BIG file. For those on Dial Up we have created a special procedure and packeted files to help not explode your modem. For everybody else, download should be under three minutes.

Again, My personal thanks to Mike and Scott. Without them, this project would have been just another idea. Thanks guys for bringing it to life.

Instructions for Dial up users:
Multiple part assembly instructions:

1) Make a directory to download all 4 files to (ie: C:\program files\V8SHO2004)

2) Right click on each of the 4 fractional files below (download one at a time of course)

3) Select "Save Target As" and browse to the folder you just created when downloading each file

4) After all 4 files have been downloaded double click "assemble" and follow the instructions.

SS/assemble.cmd    SS/splitter.zip    SS/v82004a.bin    SS/v82004b.bin    SS/v82004c.bin
