New 02/07/2005
To all:
I am changing the location of this year's Running of the Bulls. Two
things factored into this:
1) Low attendance due to the longer drive;
2) Track issues in IA with pricing and length of time we'd have the
track.
Initially, it was set in IA so that some members from the West Coast
could attend. After reviewing attendees, or possible attendees, it
was apparent that only two people from the WC would be attending, and
one wasn't sure. Makes more sense to me to hold it at a location that
more people will be willing to attend.
I'm not sure what information was already put out other than on the
TCCA, but if there's any, it will need to be changed.
Our new location is tentatively Gingerman Raceway. I know you're all
familiar with it, so I won't go into details. I'm trying to keep the
date the same, June 23rd.
Tentative track event pricing is $150. If lunch is desired at the
track we'll be offering that for $10 additional.
I've attached a Word document that outlines our tentative plans. I
say tentative because I haven't heard back from Gingerman yet. I see
that the date is available so it shouldn't be a problem.
Also, while I have your attention, I'll be needing instructors for the
course. Anyone interested? I can offer a free pat on the back for
your time. :)
Thanks for reading, and please let me know if you have any questions.
Regards,
Bob Gervais
