On June 1st our lawyers filed "Plaintiff's Second Set of Discovery Requests to Ford Motor Company". I am favorably impressed with it. I am confident yet more discovery will take place in the future.
It will be interesting to see what Ford actually turns up.
It is worth mentioning that so far Yamaha denies any knowledge or involvement with our engine. So much for Yamaha being an innocent involved party. They are acting as shifty as Ford.

Up until a few months ago I had a crate that my motor came in marked Yamaha Motor Company, Nagasaki, Japan. I knew I should have kept that damn thing!

As others have said, Yamaha is strictly a supplier. Ford carries the responsibility. Just like any other part on the car (and there are thousands) made by suppliers.

Again, why would they make that comment rather then something to the effect of "we had no involvement with the design or assembly specifications" rather then the above statement?
Carter Fuji
If they made that statement, I’m sure that it was after a dozen lawyers worked it over.
What it means in a legal sense versus what it means to us unwashed folks on the street is two different things.

I am putting words in Yamaha's mouth, but they are anything but forth coming in discovery, denying any involvement with the engine.
