I just spoke with Ken at the shop in Alaska (I can say this guy has a good
memory because I asked if he was the guy who welded a Silver SHO a few years
ago, and he said yeah for Charles Hargrove), he says they welded a couple of
cars as a temporary fix (they were expecting a new cam design from Ford).
He says he would do it again, he is comfortable doing the work, but would
not offer a guarantee because it is not a recommended procedure (I think
he's just covering his butt). .

All the usual Disclaimers apply. We have a minimum amount of jobs we would like to see an individual do before we put them up. However, due to the states sheer isolation from the lower 48 I felt it appropriate to at least share this information.
If you are not familiar with the sites disclaimers, please see the bottom of the banner page for the link.
My thanks to Rick for doing the research on the shop and speaking with its owner.
