Subject: Two New Failures
I have two cam failure cars to report.
The first is a 1999 SF Vin# 1FAFP54N6XA235649. I bought it with the engine making the “Death Tick” noise. Upon disassembly it was discovered that both front cams were loose. I will have this one back together soon.
The second is a 1997 SF Vin# 1FALP54N5VA271896. I bought it with the report that there is no compression in the rear cylinders and it has a loud knock. I expect to replace the rear head. I will start on this one as soon as I finish the 99.
I am also the owner of failure #538 & 542, it is a 1996 ES and is my daily driver. I have put almost 30K on it since it was resurrected.
