Well I am back, I was here under a different address that I can no longer access….

Anyway my ebony satin 1997 SHO has the dreaded cam tick. I tore it apart Saturday, and going to have a local fab shop weld them. Here is the VIN# and the owner is my girlfriend please add her name to the class action suit,

Charles Ridinger
1997 ES 190022 miles at Cam weld

INFO:

VIN# 1FALP54N3VA286348

I live in a small town in northwest ohio, Columbus Grove, OH 45830. It has been in this area its entire life.

It is the original engine with over 190k. the spark plugs were replaced, and so was one coil that I can see.

If you need any more info let me know

Sorry for the sad news, but did you have any idea of the problem PRIOR to the noise?  - Christina

I knew it was going to need done, I bought the car with 168k in Sept. 05. Parked it in June 06 It has sat for the last 15 months, as I have no license… currently has 190k. I tried to se if the cams would move separate from the sprockets. They don’t. also the injectors are making a awful racket….

Thanks for the concern..

Charlie
