Has anyone installed a car seat anchor in their SHO? Our little one is
growing exponentially and I need to prepare for that eventuality. Anyone know
the part number for the kit and where it installs please?
Thanks,
Phil E.

Description and Operation
If a child safety belt anchor tether is required for the child's safety seat, a
child safety belt anchor tether can be obtained free from any Ford or
Lincoln-Mercury dealer. Attachment holes at each rear seating position have been
provided in all vehicles.
WARNING: IF THE ANCHOR BOLTS ARE EVER REMOVED, THE HOLE(S) IN THE FLOOR MUST BE
SEALED TO PREVENT THE POSSIBILITY OF FUMES ENTERING THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT.
On all wagon models, three steel U-shaped load floor anchors are located on the
forward auxiliary floor trim panel. The anchors allow attachment of the child
safety belt anchor tether. They can be reached by inserting a small screwdriver
under the attachment anchor covers and prying them off the anchors.
Tether attachments have been provided on the auxiliary floor front center
support for attaching rear (second) seat tether restraints only.
WARNING: IT IS IMPORTANT THAT THE BOLT/ANCHOR BE SECURELY TIGHTENED TO
SPECIFICATION. OTHERWISE, THE CHILD'S SAFETY SEAT MAY NOT BE PROPERLY SECURED
AND THE CHILD COULD BE INJURED IN CASE OF A SUDDEN STOP OR ACCIDENT.
Instructions for installing the child safety belt anchor tether are included in
the kit with the tether attachment.
Service and Repair
Tether Attachment Location
All vehicles include a tether anchor installed at the rear center seating
position for use with child safety seats. Attachment holes (at each rear
outboard seating position) have been provided in the vehicle to attach anchor
hardware, if required. Additional kits can be obtained and installed at no
charge from any Ford or Lincoln-Mercury dealer.
Tether Attachment
WARNING: IT IS IMPORTANT THAT THE BOLT/ANCHOR BE SECURELY TIGHTENED TO
SPECIFICATION. OTHERWISE, THE CHILD'S SAFETY SEAT MAY NOT BE PROPERLY SECURED,
AND THE CHILD COULD BE INJURED IN CASE OF A SUDDEN STOP OR ACCIDENT.
The tether strap anchorage bracket for the rear center seating position was
factory installed and is located directly beneath the rear window trim panel,
which is behind the rear seat back. To use this anchorage, do the following:
NOTE: Do not raise the hinged cover of the trim panel beyond its limit, to
prevent damage to the hinge.
Open the hinged cover located at the front of the high mount stop light. This
cover conceals the tether strap anchor bracket.
Install the tether strap bracket located directly below the cover.

See the above for more info. If this isn't enough, google Child Tether, then search within results for Ford Taurus

Part# for ANCHOR KIT is F6DZ-54613D74-A and it is absolutely free. Get 2 sets if you need two carseats tethered. I would be surprised if they offer free installation

Hay all,
Confirmation for you: Just got of the phone with the dealer I have been
taking the SHO to and have an appointment for a free install of the anchor
parts included.
This is a free service for any car 1989 and newer according to the service
person I was talking to.
Phil.
