I now understand what other have gone thru on " loving this car and
hating it at the same time". My 96 is still at the Ford dealer here in
Joplin, MO. I took it in on 07/12 and received it back on 08/25. It seemed to
idle rough. My wife could not feel it on the passenger side, but I could feel it
in my seat. I finally took it back on 09/06 after I had it realigned and oil
change, with only 500 miles on it. Mainly because the mechanics had mentioned
that it seemed to have a miss in it. I didn't know if I was being overly aware,
but his comments reassured me I might be right. Finally on Weds 09/19, I called
the service manager to voice a complaint. The Tech and Assistant Mgr had been
more than helpful, but needed some other involvement because it seemed they were
stalling. He got back with me 2 hrs later and said he had to admit that they did
not know what is wrong with it and had to comtact a Field Engineer from
Springfield MO. to come in on Tuesday to work on it. #1 is way off scope and #3
has some concern. they have checked compression (190 all cyl)...have checked and
switched around coil packs, checked injectors, replaced plugs, rechecked cam
timing again.......intake off....back on......Car on lift...back off........#1
still not firing. I can't get over this problem...........I am getting
weary...Kenny K sent me a sound file and I still play it...It makes me feel good
....I get a good laugh out of it...After all I am 47, but feel like a kid in
this car....I WANT IT BACK.
Thanks Kenny and Glen for asking,
Don H
