This is a 1996 Ford Taurus SHO which experienced a cam failure and was left open from that repair. The valve covers and plugs were removed and over time the engine has been subject to rust and moisture. As a result the engine has seized and rust is now in the top end of the engine as well as in the cylinders.
The body and the interior of the car are in very good condition and all the switches and features worked before the engine failed. The car came with the chrome wheels, and many features which were removed after 1996.
There are salvageable engine parts, but the car has been sitting outside for over a year, and the parts will not include the internal portions of the engine, since it can not be rotated. This is a great car for parts, as fixing it would also entail some brake replacements and checking of the lubricated systems on the car. The electrical seems to be intact and the body panels are all good with the exception of the driver-side rear door. You can see the body issues in the pictures provided.
The car is mobile so it can be towed. Buyer is responsible to arrange and pay for any towing charges. No warranty is included in this deal. The car is sold "as-is" and "where-is" but is a great deal for anyone who is trying to rebuild a Gen 3 SHO.
