THIS VEHICLE DOES NOT RUN!

There is no compression on the back 4 cylinders. The engine has been taken apart for diagnosing.I was told that this is a common problem with this engine and the camshaft can be welded to the cam gear to avoid an expensive repair. It could be easily accessed now just by removing the valve covers. The alternator is seized up also. This would be a great parts car or a nice fixer upper if you have the time and money to put into it. The condition of this vehicle is very good. There is typical scratches and dings for a 1996. The interior is in perfect shape.

Update 6/7/07

Just got done removing the rear Valve cover on my 96...Just in case there was any doubt, #709 is a cam failed motor. Intake sprocket has "The Chrome ring" around the cam. It's a very tiny ring but just big enough to I.D. a failure. Next job: Remove head and check for bent valves and possible piston damage.
