Could we add a note to the Emissions Parts List page on the site to point out that all v8sho are covered by a federally mandated emissions warranty for 8 years/80,000 miles. So for any failure of the indicated parts, within scope, Ford should replace and pay labor.
Here's an interesting thought, a motor with a failed cam that runs must fail emission standards. Should the repair be covered under the warranty or has this argument already been tried.
Suppose I should go read the warranty page in the owner's guide.

JJ makes an interesting point here. I don't have the answer, but I'll be
looking for it!! Sadly though, I would suspect the vast majority of us are
well over 80K in mileage. Thanks for the heads up JJ!!

The Paragraphs need to be updated to reflect the research, namely that the Cat, PCM and MIL (SES) light and wiring and parts supporting them are the only ones covered on the 8/80,000.
