We had successfully bid on a couple of items on E-Bay. The shipping charges
were a little on the high side, so we asked the buyer if he minded if we came to
him in Michigan to pick up our trophies.
When we got there, well the shopping list grew quickly. We got more than we
originally asked for and the prices were, well really good.
Ray, and I'm leaving his last name out on purpose, turns out is a guy who used
to own both a wrecking company as well as a cam failed GIII.
We departed at 0620 and got back home almost to the minute 12 hours later. The
trip was long but worth while.
Eric got his tranny with the brand new T/C, a complete wiring harness, and other
assorted goodies. I got the Power Steering connector/hose along with a back up
flex plate for future rebuild of the remnants of SW9/Donor Motor for as they say
cheap.
Ray is on Ebay as Midnightauto - only cuz someone else has "chopshop"
More importantly, we put a face to an email address which is always good.
Was a looong day. We are both bushed beyond belief but was well worth it.
