Subject: Camshaft problem

Larry: I discovered your website this evening. I am a loyal Ford man and the owner of a 1999 SHO that I purchased new. The car has 77,000 miles on it and recently developed engine noise. The local Ford dealer says they think it is the camshaft, and it will cost over $2000 to repair. The car has been very well cared for and never abused. Although I love the car, I am very disappointed to be having this kind of problem, and then to find that it is apparently a design defect. You can add me to the list of disgruntled SHO owners.
