I guess I'm another cam failure guy. My 99, with 112k miles, died just last week.

Thanks for your response and for the lead on another engine but I don't think spending that kind of money on a 99 with 112k miles on it is the way to go, even though the rest of the car is in quite good shape. So I would like to sell it for whatever I can get (for parts obviously). But it is clean, with new power steering pump (Dec 2006), good tires and 4 new shocks/struts (summer 2006). Never had any mechanical problems whatsoever (except for the occasional warped brake rotor) until now. So if you or anyone else would be interested, please spread the word. Otherwise I will have to junk it--oops, excuse me-- will have to send it to the "auto recyclers," and soon.

BTW, I wish I had kept up with the SHO website/pages like I used to--had I known as much about cam failure a year or two ago as I do today this could have been prevented. Hindsight truly is 20/20.

Thanks, JB
