Actually, this isn't that far-fetched. If you get lighter tires (20-22 #s, using a SHO-size example), they will produce better HP on the dyno than some 27-28 # tires. Wheels weights obviously come into play, also.

Sport Compact Car has already shown that thinner oil (as in a 0w or 5w, as opposed to a 10w or 20w) will also show HP on the dyno.
