I would like to share my cam weld experience.
Carlos Leon of Palm Bay, FL performed the cam weld on
my 96. My recommendation will mimic Mr. Shutt's
experience. I cannot emphasize enough the high level
of detail and service. Carlos is very knowledgeable
about G3 SHO's and is ASE certified. He also has a G3
SHO which I understand he bought the car already
cam-dead and repaired it back to life. A little known
fact: Carlos has performed 16 G3 cam weld events.
Carlos performed the welding, changed the plugs, checked the rear harness, and other details. He also replaced hoses, t-stat, and belt replacement by arrangement. I purchased those parts prior. He presented me with pictures of the job taken at various steps in the process. The car was washed. His fee was VERY competitive. Contact him for pricing.
On top of the excellent service, Carlos is a true gentleman and well spoken. His wife was also very nice to us. He takes personal pride in his work. Never met him before this but was comfortable leaving my car with him. Not only is it a relief to get this job done, it was great that it was done in the most professional manner. Had a real good time on the 3 hour drive back. Car feels like a thoroughbred again.

I'd also like to recommend www.1stFordParts.com as my OEM parts supplier of choice. They are actually a division of Bowen-Scarff Ford in Seattle. I purchased struts, bushings, belts, hoses...etc at lowest price. Bien is the contact and is considerate of SHO owners. Knows much about the car and it's components. Follows through without being chased down.
