This winter Kirk was kind enough to give me a used V6 & V8 SHO head. I started off wanting only a V8 head to section & measure & photograph but no, Don insisted we look at both. (can't imagine why?) ;-)
Well after a hell of a lot of work & expense we photographed and sectioned and rephotographed both heads and honestly I found it interesting as hell. (both heads) It is neat (to me anyway) to see the ports and combustion chambers in cross section.
Any way all this work should go in to the next two issues of SHOCLUB. Don has a policy that a club magazine should have more than just photos of folks standing in front of their cars every month, it should also have valuable technical articles that can not be found anywhere else.
Anyways I am overjoyed because it is over, and because I think it turned out so well. A detailed anatomy of both SHO heads should be interesting to most everybody. (car guys anyway)
So if you don't know about the SHOCLUB quarterly, maybe you should. If you like detailed technical stuff the next two issues (which is as far as I can plan ahead) should be great reading.
