Scott Wilson - Cam Failure
new 10/15/01
I own a 1996 SHO with about 95,00 miles on it. When I bought it the ticking
noise was heard from the engine. I addressed the sound and the dealership said
they would look into it. Well it turned out to be the cam sprocket. That was at
54,000 miles. The engine was replaced with a used motor with about 1,000 miles
on it. Now with only 41,00 miles on the replacement motor, I have the same
problem. The car has been sitting five months now since I can't afford the
$3,000 repair bill. I have written FOMOCO several times. All I have ever
received was an E-mail back stating how important customer satisfaction meant to
them. Total BS.I am now driving a chevy POS with 126,00 miles on it and no
problems. What does that say about Ford. Any help on this would be
appreciated....ie any info on potential recalls. Has anyone considered a class
action lawsuit?
Thanks,
Scott Wilson
