Something Special

New 4/24/05

I feel like a broken record. I may have gotten a point across to you earlier regarding this sophomoric approach to 'bettering' ones automobile. This joker steals the show. In his photos, he clearly has removed his chin spoiler. I may wager that this is due to his having inclined driveways and other 'hazards'. So having an auto-mobile that wanders at freeway speeds, and has little self centering effect is desirable as you get rid of hallucinations of a car that has a poor ride height? Also, the clown who put 19 in. wheels on his car and thinks it looks 'good' needs some counseling. The stock brakes showing make ridiculous on a whole other level, to boot. Although I have no pictures yet, here's my 99 SHO changes... and keepers.

225/55ZR 16 Eagle RS-A 37 lbs front 34 lbs rear. Brembo OE replacement brake rotors F&R. Akebono Ceramic Brake pads F&R. Chain reinforced exhaust hangers at exhaust tips, rear split. Incidentally, having these near the flex pipe creates such a racquet that it made it seem like one of your cars... I promptly replaced them. Ford Racing chrome Oil Fill cap. Same type the 4.6, 5.0, 5.8 units use. Dark tinted windows. Clear front side marker lights, smoked to about the tint of my leading windows. Stealth bulbs in both side markers and the front parking lights/turn signals. Other than that, just a couple of large sponges, soaked, put on the sides of the battery under the factory cover keeps it from jerking around over stutter bumps.

This and regular doses of Mobil-1 5W-30.

Perhaps you can have new section of the web site for those (like me) who appreciate their cars and are irritated by these efforts to legitimize them.
