I have heard that all cars, even SHO's have limiters placed on them at
about 120mph. If this is true, is there anyone in the Detroit area
that knows how to reprogram them or take them off or otherwise disable
them?

I hate to break it to everyone, but here is a screen shot from the SCT
programming for a 97 SHO. It is a table for torque retard vs. vehicle speed. At
139mph, the computer pulls all the timing out of the motor and it just won't go
any more.

Hey Doug,
Looks like the equivalent program to what the LT-1 GM cars have for OBD-1
applications. Where did you get the full program and diag plug-ins and how much
were they? I've started to play around with the idea of having the IMRC open
anytime at WOT. A few people have reported bottom-end gains, as the closed
position actually restricts the engine quite a bit. The theory behind this is
out there because of the head design. Last time I checked the two ports did NOT
Siamese back together, so when closed, you actually have an engine with 1intake
valve, and 2 exhaust per cylinder.
Regards,
Justin

Here's another interesting item in the stock programming. This is a screen shot
of the stock program in our cars for IMRC opening. It says that even at WFO, the
IMRC's don't open until 3350 (and then at any throttle setting). But then they
close again at 6900.
With the SCT programming, I can make it so that they open at a certain throttle
setting before and stay open all the way up (or until the engine starts spitting
out part numbers).
