Thanks to Sheriff Buford T. Justice - updated 5/15/02

This is the best accounting of color by year we have for V8 SHOs based on information provided by V8 members.

If you have not sent "Buford" a note with your year and color please feel free to do so, we would like to include you.

Note the absence of any derogatory cheap shots aimed at any color SHO less aesthetically desirable the the prized Vibrant White.  ;-)

This is less than perfect numbers, The 96 "All Taurus" number includes 60,672 wagons. The 97 "All Taurus" includes 40,794 wagons. BUT the 98 numbers is for 4 DR sedans only.  The 99 "All Taurus" includes wagons but doesn't  break out wagons separately.  So may never know how many wagons were made in 98-99. Or how many sedans in 99.

So the 355,155 total production number for 98 is not suspect but it may well be incomplete. Could Ford have that many unsold wagons that they made few 98 wagons?

This effects the last row. Of all Taurus, what percent were SHOs?

96 - 1.15% SHO
97 - 2.33% SHO
98 - 0.65% - low and with possible missing wagon production number
99 - 0.49% - Very low with no production missing

Total 1.17% of all 96-99 Taurus are SHO, possibly less depending on the 98 wagon situation. 19,730 SHO out of 1,686,374 total Taurus. We have a rare car.
